The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.
This scripture describes how Julie Castro lives her life. “Living in the Lord is an adventure”, says Julie. She never knows where she will be led to go, who she will meet, and what she will be doing until direction reveals itself. The same holds true for everyone, if they choose.
It was inevitable Julie Castro would write and publish a book. Her mom wrote and self-published two travel guide books, while her dad founded, edited and published Contact! Magazine. Julie assisted both her parent’s endeavors with editing, transcription and even the fun of eating at Tucson’s Mexican Restaurants in Tucson, AZ. Grant writing also became a talent as she was awarded several grants while serving as Director of a completely grant funded community outreach program.
Her writing skills continued as she was responsible for all workforce related proposals and documents for several of the Governor’s Advisory Councils or Commissions. An article she wrote for the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), It’s All in the Asking, was published in the March/April 2013 magazine.
Having a personal relationship with Jesus for 33 years Julie has lived her life according to His will, leading her to new cities, jobs, and churches and the understanding of walking heaven on earth. She finds living in the Lord an adventure and never knows where she will be led to go or what she will encounter each day. She currently resides in Phoenix, AZ with her son’s cat, Saki.
